| "Pray continually." (Jesus) "WOW! This pray er thing actually WORKS!" (shocked student) Southern Adventist University Prayer Room 24-7PRAYER started by accident in September 1999, with a bunch of young people in England who got the crazy idea of trying to pray non-stop for a month. Now 24-7 prayer rooms are turning up around the world in churches, in hospitals, at universities, in coffee shops and festivals— in all shapes and sizes, for weekends or for a year. The students are seeking the "one thing"—to profoundly experience the presence and love of God, to transform lives and communities and to enjoy prayer once again. What if we started praying like it all depended on us and lived like it all depended on God? The beautifully decorated room in the student center will be turned into a creative and inspiring PRAYER ROOM (located at Southern Adventist University, University Drive, Collegedale, TN) and will be open:Open 15 hours a day 7.30am - 10.30pm daily Friday Oct 5 through Saturday Oct 13! This is a radical call for the next generation to rise up in passionate, persistant and powerful prayer to change lives, families, communities and nations. There will be music, art, worship and interactive prayer stations to help make your prayer time enjoyable. Prepare to experience God!We encourage you to sign up now (see below) as a Prayer Guardian or sign up your whole small group or class (max 25)!– please sign up for a one or two hour time slot during the week, this will make possible an uninterrupted cycle of continuous prayer during the day. We would love for you to come and experience this life changing place and invite others to this sacred place. Please go to the bottom of the page and choose a time that suits you and book in after reading some helpful information below and please REMEMBER YOUR TIME - set your cell phone alarm! REQUIREMENTS OF BEING A PRAYER GUARDIAN: Feel free to just turn up any hour of the day if you are passing by but please book in a time slot below so we can keep it continuous. Prayer groups and classes with their teachers are invited. Please no more than 25 students or so in the room at one time! At the beginning of your hour you will meet with the previous Prayer Guardian or class and have a handover prayer. The next hour is yours to pray as much as you can - remember prayer can come through various forms. Listen to what God has to speak to you and expect him to show up. You may write your experiences in the prayer journal. Please be respectful of others and know this is a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit! If you cannot attend the hour you choose please call someone else to fill in for you. Remember to pray a handover prayer of blessing to the next Prayer Guardian. (These instructions will be placed outside the Room) There will be a Prayer Host if you need more information. Thank you!
