111 Bauer Road, Monaca, PA 15061 (a private field)

Sign-Up Deadline:
2:00pm on Friday, October 17th, 2008. If slots are still open after the deadline, players may continue to sign-up. However rental equipment cannot be guaranteed.

Minimum Players:
A minimum of 10 players are necessary for play. If player minimum is not met by the sign-up deadline, the game will be canceled.

Departure and return times/locations:
10:30am from the UC Turnaround, CMU. Return will be at the UC Turnaround, CMU at 5:30pm. Drivers are needed. If you have a car, please sign-up to drive.  NOTE: Game play will begin around 11:30am and conclude around 4:30pm (5 hours).

How to Dress:
Wear clothing that protects ALL of your skin! If you're concerned about impact sting, heavier clothing provides greater protection. Shoes or boots with ankle support are important too. Rookie tip: Avoid wearing bright colors.

Food & Drink:
Please Pack a Lunch to eat at the field. Water/Gatorade is a good idea too.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT:
You get day use of everything you need to play... A semi-automatic “Spyder” type paintball marker, a loader, a barrel plug, gloves, CO2 tank, and a protective face mask. Equipment Rental cost is $12.  Paintballs cost $4 per 140 rounds. Tentative players can get by with 140 rounds.  Conservative shooters will want 280 rounds.  More aggressive players will want 420 rounds.  A limited amount of additional paintballs may be purchased at the field at a cost of $3 for 100 rounds.   NOTE: If you’re using rented equipment, no 3rd party or outside source paintballs may be used. Important Notice: Equipment rentals are available to a maximum of 14 people. If rental requests exceed availability, priority will be given to earlier registrants. Even if it appears that equipment is unavailable, you may request anyway. In the event that someone cancels, gear may become available to you.

Bringing Your Own Equipment:
If you’ve already got stuff, bring it! Note - Since our games are beginner friendly, the following gear is NOT PERMITTED: Electronic markers - Electronic triggers - Fully automatic markers - Markers with multi-round burst capability - Pneumatic "response" triggers - "Flatline" type barrels. Only pump or semi-automatic (one shot per trigger pull) mechanical markers are permitted.

Tips for Buying your own gear:
If you wanna get your own stuff, here’s what you’ll need to buy… Paintball Marker (gun), CO2/Nitro Tank, Loader, and Goggles. You’ll also need paintballs, CO2/Air, and barrel plug/cover. You will find an aftermarket performance barrel advantageous too. As you buy, keep in mind the equipment restrictions we have on our field (see above under Bringing Your Own Equipment). Check out www.actionvillage.com. They usually have the best prices and selection for new gear. Locally, I would suggest www.punisherspb.com. They can fill your tank and they have decent prices on Paintballs (Stingers recommended). Also, from time to time we will find good stuff cheap and sell it to you at cost.  If you're interested in buying any of this stuff contact Doug at dougwcherry@gmail.com

Info about your costs to play...
These organized paintball games are not for profit. They're just for fun, and are a great way to meet new people. Your fees to play are as low as possible and go to pay for paintballs, CO2, and equipment expenses (purchase, maintenance, repair, and replacement). Replacement value of our equipment is about $2000. Rental fees at for profit paintball parks would cost you twice as much. Please help keep your costs low by taking care or your rental equipment.
